Comfort House is a non-profit organization that provides free services to the abused and neglected children of Brooke and Hancock Counties.  Comfort House relies solely on funds from grants and donations.  Please consider helping the children of our community through your tax-exempt donation.

What is a Child Advocacy Center (CAC)?

Comfort House is an Accredited Member of the National Children's Alliance (NCA), a member of the West Virginia Child Advocacy Network (WVCANS), and a member of the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce.

A specialized program serving children who have been physically or sexually abused and their families.  Bringing together police, prosecutors, social workers, child protection service workers, health and mental health providers. Child advocacy centers assess, investigate, and offer a coordinated service response to the physical, emotional, and legal dimensions of child abuse.
